I had beautiful conditions while photographing the Karri tree’s of Boranup Forest in Australia’s South-west region. Next to no wind, beautiful warm morning light, and fog that stayed in the forest most of the morning. As I was wondering through a section of the forest this tree caught my eye. It was alone, and had great foliage on the forest floor around it. Boranup Forest is only about a 30 minute drive from Margaret River. The trees are just stunning and I am so glad I managed to make a photograph of the area that I am proud of!
This dark moody image reflects how I am feeling this week. The end of university is in sight (not that it hasnt been a fun experience) and hopefully that will bring some financial ease.
I didnt visualise this when I was shooting as a black and white image but it just worked so well I think, What do you reckon?

Soon I am thinking of constructing a survey to see what influences consumers decisions and motives when purchasing photography and art. So stay tuned cause all feedback is greatly appreciated!
Well there have been some good sunsets around lately and a couple nights ago provided a new image for my cloudscapes portfolio.
Heres what was part of a bigger stitch. I didnt like the wide format so cropped it down to this. Reso is still pretty good… it was 30cm x 30cm at 300dpi.
Dont know which I prefer…..
