Look Through Old Files!

Im sure you have all done it before. You haven’t been shooting in a while and you are desperate to do something involving photography and the city in which you live is running out of spots to shoot, so you start looking through old files and find something you dont mind, or maybe even love! Well thats what I just got up to. Sick of the uni books I had a quick look through some of my old Applecross shots. This particular shot was taken the last time I was at Deep Water Point back in November of last year and I have been intending to shoot it again for a while now as I am not satisfied with what I have. Although I think this particular shot is cool and I am glad I cam across it, its hasn’t prevented me from wanting to capture the jetty under better conditions.

This was a very long exposure, at around 2 and a half minutes @ ƒ16.

Soon enough I will head back to this spot and try and capture it under the conditions I envision in my mind, but sometimes that could mean many attempts before I get it the way I want.

So here it is!

  1. Very cool! Kind of like going through your pockets and finding a $50 bill 🙂

Yep, sometimes you can find gems that you missed the first time around for whatever reason. This is anything to spectacular but it was certainly worth looking for I think! 🙂
      Thanks

Cool image Dylan – great textures in the old jetty timbers.

    • Cheers Tony. that was what really stood out in this frame, the contrast in the jetty was awesome!
