"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." Ansel Adams

Trying to get something decent… Still!

Well i have been out and about and really in hunt of another good photo for dylanfox.com.au and i just havent got one…… i went to trigg to a spot where i used go all the time when i was first starting landscapes. I climbed up the limestone cliff (barefoot) with gear in hand and found a high spot to sit. I seem to always want to get a pano of the trigg beaches since i have been doing so many shots as of late that are square or 3:2 ratios, but ever since i have been shooting these small condesed beaches i always come home and think why the hell do i think a pano format will work best?

So yet again i went out in search of a bloody pano and got home to stitch it and simply didnt like it! What really caught my eye was a square section of the original pano, that was just so simple and abstract (to an extent), and i am very pleased with it! Having said that this last shot i used a longer exposure as i did figure if the pano didnt work there was a single frame shot that i whought would work quite well that was similar to the image i have here. So here it is!

Shot 5-10 mins after sunset using 30 second exposures, to calm the large swell and create this more simple scene.

Does that happen to anyone else? As much as shoot, you sometimes just seem to keep going home with crap photos, which then gets you all the more eager to go out and keep trying till you get a good one?
