Loving it!

Hey guys!

Well I have been on a few shoots lately and have been very pleased with my results

The first is from Applecross, where I shot with Oli last week and the second and third are experimental type shots with a short dof that were really fun to shoot!

  1. wow that is some unique water patterns hey!
still a lil undecided if i like it as a whole tho.
but the water sure grabbed my attention! 🙂

i quite like the middle image!
the balance of the DOF appeals a bit more for me anyway.

the wood detail is fantastic on the 3rd shot, which i do like.
but then the DOF is just a lil too shallow-for my liking anyway.

i am a fan of those types of shots though.
getting that balance of sharp contrasting the softer can have some amazing impact when it all comes together. i’ve tried a few times but not got the balance right yet

    cheers Stephen
I am really enjoying the abstract type stuff
I find it a bit more unique than the everyday shots you see of places like applecross.
The second two I was trying to get a really mystical feel out of… whether or not it worked im still not sure
I think your right about the depth of field being a little to short though
