Shoulda come to Cott!

Well I ditched Clint, Bree and Neal and went to Cott instead this morning. πŸ˜‰ I did however catch up with Clint and Bree afterwards. The sun hit these big puffy clouds quite nicely. Kinda stole Neal’s idea. I got some pretty intense blues in this mornings choppy water and had to actually bring them back quite a bit in PS. This image is about 4 photos and has had only curve layers added with different blend modes, levels, and a b&w filter set to overlay. ( painting with light as well). Just trying to explain how bizarre the colours are on the raw files. The sky is that dark greyish colour which i love and luckily the camera did that cause I dont know how to do it in PS! :

hahah mate its funny cause i say nup to the water too! I think it needs a warming filter for the water to get it looking a littler ‘duller’

  5. Not a nup from me…. I actually like it.
All though there is something not quite right about the water , not the colour but the look, like you’ve applied a motion blur.

The caption makes no sense though, Wrecked?.

I am not sure what to say ! It’s certainly an intriguing image in so many ways…it’s smooth (water) , it’s sharp (pylon), it’s soft (clouds), it’s bright (water),it’s vibrant (clouds) and yet it’s dull (upper sky) ! yet all of these things and it’s still simplistic !

Cheers Sean…. I dont find them clouds to boring though….

Cheers Merv… Suprised you dont mind this one. I title my images on how i feel how about them. Not necessarily what is in them. Although the word wrecked came to mind when you see this thing constantly smashed by waves and climbed on by people. It looks that way too!

Cheers for the comment Tony. Your right. It is a bizarre image but i think it kinda, maybe works… haha
