"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." Ansel Adams

Padres @ Rockies

One of my favorite things about the states is the access I have to some of my favorite sports like the NBA and the MLB. I always go to at least one game while i am here. I went to my first Colorado Rockies game last week. They were playing the San Diego Padres and won 4 zip. The Rockies aren’t doing to well this year but have been playing really well lately. A couple nights ago on Independence Day they had what is being called there best come back ever. I was watching the game, and in the Rockies were way behind in the 4th and 5th, but ended up coming back to draw it in the bottom of the ninth at 17 all, and went on to get another run right after to win 18 runs over the Padres 17. They have had some other high scoring games lately, but this game was amazing!

I got some shot from the game I was at,

This next one is my first handheld stitch. It seems to have some warping at the sides but I think that from shooting it in landscape format… Theres just one problem with this photo…. the kid in the foreground has been cut in half!

I would also like to mention that my step brothers blog is rolling again and he has some new shots worth checking out! Also of anyone would like to give his latest post a quick PS job feel free. I would but I can;t at the moment. I wanted to show him the effect of lightening the foreground up and darkening the sky with different layer blend modes.

Happy Shooting!

  1. Love a good day at the ball park myself. Went to a Rockies / Blue Jays game last year in Toronto, good times had by all, Dogs/ Peanuts and Beer how could you not? ok I had 2 slices of pizza as well, I’m a pig I know. When we left the Park in Toronto wouldn’t you know it there was a micro brewery opposite the park so I had to drag everyone across for free beer tasting and more munchies … Good times indeed.

Currently watching the Yankess / Sox game on ESPN 4 all at the top of the 10th …. One day I’d like to attend a game in NYC and go nuts on Dogs 🙂

  6. No never saw the Rockies game, I did check the score though, of late Sport is taking up a lot of time, what with Nadal winning his first, those Williams sisters just blitzing everyone, the NBA draft and the fact we did not get Rose 😦 and who is ever going to forget Tigers 5 day 20 mile 91 hole win at the USPGA on one FREAKIN LEG! I’m not, it is going right alongside a section of the memory bank of Jordan’s game 6 in the 1996 finals.

Yeah the stadiums are awesome! I usually get to Cubs game at Wrigley each year which is great ball park.

I don’t follow the football here, I think I’m just to lazy to learn it!
