"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." Ansel Adams

Thunderstruck

Heres a shot I took back in January over at Rotto. I have only got a couple rotto photos so I went back through these.

It’s a 4 image stitch and I it was at 18mm but seems to have worked out alright.

Happy Shooting!

  1. Love the treatment, talk about dramatic sky! Looks brilliant. I like the desaturated look. I would maybe crop a bit of the bottom and the rock on the right is maybe a bit dark. There seems to be a stitching error about 1/3rd from the right side? Or maybe the world is just coming apart at the seams 😀

There’s about 3 stitch problems on the horizon and in the water , just needs a little touch up and she’ll be fine. Not a bad shot.

    Cheers guys,
Yeah there a re stitch problems I would like to blame some of it on the fact that I didn’t have a pano head when I took this, but I did slack off when it came to fixing it because I couldn’t bare to sit behind the computer fr another minute, so I figured I will just fix the master image tomorrow.

  8. Most these techniques are from Better photoshop techniques magazine, and last week I finally picked up Scott Kelbys CS3 book for digital photographers. But also have a look at other photographers work cause thats where you can see things and then attempt to get a similar look on your pics just by experimenting.
    Cheers

    Cheers Kirk,
That suck that you got no shots and to come back with no net!
The storm was awesome though! I wish we had weather like that more often!
